Research production firm "Aeromech" was founded in 2001 as a result of research results being put into production. Seed cleaning separators SAD are designed to prepare high quality seed material and to calibrate, sort out and clean al types of seeds and other bulk materials (granite chips, crushed stone, pebbles).In the process of separation specific density, size, quality of seed surface are taken into account. Such complex approach permits to separate seeds formed in the middle part of the ear, cob or basket. In practice this is separation of seeds according to their biological value. The result is achieved due to the modern technology “Scanning of bulk material in high frequency air flows in a flowing medium”. It has been developed by Research and Production Firm “Aeromech”. Preparation of seeds by the separator SAD does not require sieves and grid as is the case with a majority of other calibration machines which use a set of sieves with various mesh size, form and slope and activated by a vibrator. Usually the principle of separation is "Large seeds – high quality". The method, however, does not exclude the possibility of damaged and hollow seeds.

The separator SAD operates on a new principle of calibration and cleaning according to seed specific density. The method is protected by Patent No 60254A(UA)”Method of separation of bulk mixture in a flowing medium and the device for its effectuation”of 15.09.2003.

The method permits to select seeds with good seeding qualities; to receive select grain with high quality protein content etc.

The firm administration decided to receive Certificate of Quality for the separator from Dnepropetrovsk State Regional centre of Research and Technology for Standardization and Certification which accordingly carried out testing of the separator. Protocol of Testing of Aerodynamic Separator Sad-10(102) of 01.03.2006 No06.

The separator is certified by batches of 30 items which permits to constantly modify and update the design. Certificate copy No UA 1.039.0050804-06.

The separator undergoes annual quality check to satisfy current standards, norms and regulations which is acknowledged by Act No 334 of 5 July 2004 issued by Lugansk Regional Centre for Standardization, Metrology and Certification.

The seed cleaning separator SAD cleans and calibrates seeds independent of their contamination a nd moisture content. Several tests to check the calibration quality of SAD have been carried. Certified seeds were sown on a control patch. Crop increase by 35 per cent was registered on the patches sown by the seeds calibrated by SAD.

Separator SAD has been used at grain collection unit, seed selection stations, farms and in food processing industry ( production of cereals).

Potential clients interested in the SAD separator are invited to test the machine on their seed material at the firm workshop or on the nearest farm which uses the separator ( one sack is usually enough).

Comparison tests of the seeding material produced by SAD separators with the material produced by sieve machines, pneumatic tables, air separators show the following results:

• seed vigor has increased by 10 per cent;
• geminating capacity increased by11 per cent;
• ears of the seeds separated by SAD gave increase of grain by 25 to 30 per cent, they were more bushy compared with standard samples;
• the seeds separated by SAD showed greater vitality under severe winter conditions in 2002-2003 in Lugansk region;
• crop increase was 25 to 30 per cent compared with the grain produced by traditional machines ( pneumatic tables, grading sieves, pocket-type grain graders);
• the separator is able to produce the second and third class grain from fodder grain.

Thus the separator SAD produces seeds which have a higher potential compared with the Control test samples which, in its turn, leads to better crop capacity.

DESCRIPTION OF UNIQUE DESIGN QUALITIES OF GRAIN CLEANING SEPARATORS SAD.

1. Separator SAD is simple in operation. Only one operator is required;
